As Hospitality Sales Manager at Stags’ Leap Winery, Jim oversees the Direct-To-Consumer experiences, events and the maintenance of the historical 130 year old property. Prior to joining Treasury Wine Estates, he worked primarily with family grower/producers and served as General Manager of the downtown collective, Mia Carta, and was Director of Guest Services at Luna Vineyards.
His passion for wine was born from a culmination of 30 years in the restaurant industry where he worked his way from busboy, server, bartender and then ultimately to Bar Management and the General Manager of some of Napa’s well-known establishments like Bank Bar, Tarla Mediterranean Grill, Carpe Diem and Kenzo. His restaurant background started at age 14 and was the source of his financing of 100% of his education in the US, England and Japan. Degreed in Finance and Asian Studies, Jim hails from the Great Lake State of Michigan.
After college, Jim worked in Japan-US Relations as the Executive Director of The Japan- America Society of Georgia (JASG); a non profit organization established to encourage and develop ties of friendship and understanding between individuals within the communities of Japan and the state of Georgia. He served on the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority’s Foreign Language Team during the Centennial Olympic Games, in Atlanta.
When there’s spare time, you’ll find him traveling to new destinations, playing with his two doggies and trying to master a new recipe (both savory &sweet).
